Pad Printing
Pad Printing is
a wet printing process in which three dimensional parts can be printed on and retain the proper size and
registration. The inks used can vary from simple one component enamels up to two component epoxy's. The image
or lettering is transferred to the part from an ink filled etched image on a printing plate by way of a
silicone pad.

Pad printing can successfully decorate three dimensional parts
because while transferring the image to the part, the pad conforms or adapts to the shape of the part without
distorting the image. Extremely fine detail and tight multicolor registration are easily achievable with pad
printing.
PowderTech has provided high quality precision pad printing and
manufacturing services on medical devices, power tools and electronic components since the company began in
1999. PowderTech’s facility enables them to handle prototypes ranging from small jobs required for PPAP
evaluations up to and including large production volumes all with the quick turn-around
